My Sheltie was 18″ high and a pure breed. She never gave me the breeder’s name until I had this pup for a month. My pup and I are bonded, and I have fallen in love with her. weeks later got a hold of the breeder and found out she is from Tenn., and I live in New England. She sent me pics of the parents and I sent her a Pic of my sheltie that I lost this year and said her dogs do not look like a sheltie, she then told me they were Aussie. I am in love with pup, I just wanted a companion and guard dog. I live outside the city and have a 1/4 area fence in yard. Is there away when she gets to be an adult will I be able to train her to be a companion dog?

She won’t accept treats for sitting in the sidecar, and jumps out before it moves. She also can’t be harnessed.

I think you’re so close to your subject that you may not realize that you’ve not made it exactly clear to us which pictures of which shepherd variety goes with which? Does the American have more dark patches?

Mom was a lovely blonde& white Cardigan Corgi.
FeiFei was the runt and already 6 mos old. She was not selected because she was only pup who didn’t get standing ears and being half the size of all the others putting in question her sire. She is in queue for service training for my son. We also will do agility to amuse her. She can hop a 4 ft wall and can run along the top of it. She is actually very quiet and will stay calm and still for most of the day as long as she gets her morning fix.

His former service dog Fu Fei was not a ‘designer’ dog’ and also happened to have mini aussie dad. Mom was a Cherokee Cur (carolina dog/wolf hybrid) and best “dog” ever. Obedient workaholic. She contracted Valley Fever, something her East coast primitive bloodlines wouldn’t have any ability to fight. After 3 years Fei Fei is the first animal he has embraced and accepted and she is just sliding right into the role of best friend, playmate and snuggle buddy. She didnt bark often and I attributed to her being a hibrid. But Now a pue bred and this lil girl.. also mind their own business so rarely bark.

The American Shepherd seems to have a dialed down personality (barking /boredom) even as it has dialed down size. If you have any basic training experience, don’t mind some maintenance grooming, I would suggest Mini American Shepherds as Great all round family member

My best friend and I are planning to create a film this summer about a talking dog, so we need a trained dog for the film. Perhaps we should look for an acting dog that is an Australian Shepherd since they’re popular to use for the big or silver screen. Thanks a lot!
