Our 2.5 yr old golden doodle had the same amount of energy as our 4 and 5 yr old friends’ kids. They have become best buds and can’t stay away from each other for more than a few days. They love playing in the garden, running on the beach and go for hikes. In fact we often joke that they baby / dog sit each other.

It’s great to know that Goldendoodles are one of the most affectionate breeds and they bond seemingly well with people. We are thinking of getting this particular breed for our family and this just might be our daughter’s next playmate.

I have trouble with his over friendliness to anyone who wants to come into my home. He has been to two puppy classes: can sit, stay, go down…. but when company comes he won’t mind. This is extremely frustrating as he’s a big dog. Should I get a choke collar, as he can easily slip out of his regular collar. He also barks to express his presence on our large property. I Use treats to call him in. Do bark collars work?
