He is basically a good dog but he has bitten myself and my husband several times and we are ready to give him up. Sad. We never know what’s going to provoke him. It is scary. We are 71 and don’t know if we can keep this dog. We have had two cockers previously and they were very easy.

She began displaying episodes of ferocious growling when eating a snack and her teeth have caught my hand. She has become totally attached to my husband and follows him everywhere. If she is lying beside him and I attempt to pick her up she will growl and even attempt to snap at me. I would not buy another. My Maltipoo is 4 and has always been gentle.

The majority of cockapoos that my dog and I have interacted with have been very aggressive and out of control. The majority are terrible with other dogs, no idea how they are in a home environment. My dogs a Pit Bull who loves to play with other dogs of all sizes and breeds. Now I do all I can to avoid any interaction with Cockapoos. I do feel sorry for their owners having to deal with this antisocial behavior. For disclosure, over the years I have met one, YES ONE cockapoo who was very social and sweet with dogs and people. Cockapoos look like cuddly little bear dogs but…

Mine used to get a crazed look in her after dinner. We would take her out back with a medium sized ball and she would push it with her nose all around the yard st top speed. After that she would sleep all night. She also lives for her daily walks!

She is very active and plays with her toys quite happily. No destructive chewing habits, except for my feet and shoe laces. She wiggles and squirms so I can’t pick her up. If I can, the result is nipping. She gets a sudden burst of energy where she is uncontrollable. Sometimes I have to put her in the crate or put her outside.

Will this pretty little girl ever settle down to sit on my lap? Has she learned to nip, which will then become a habit? She “goes” outside but will come in and do it again. Any suggestions?

How old is you cockapoo? I just got mine. His name is Milo an he has some crazy burst of energy and is completely wild. And then he has completely calm moments. What was your dog like when you first got her? Do you have any tips for me?
