If you are able, put her crate in a larger pen area. Use an automatic feeder for her set to drop food at different times and leave a few puppy pads. Ideally you should plan on taking 2-3 days vacation when you adopt a new GSD, which is what I did. They are an incredibly smart intelligent breed and those first few days are critical. When you are home to feed her, feed her by hand.
