She jus ad her second hair cut and I found out this morning she is in her first season. The vet told me to wait until she was a year old before spaying her. How bad is this? I had a Chow, but never even noticed when she was in season, until she was in the yard and another dog jumped the fence and then we had puppies.
I really don’t know what to expect and if I should let her have puppies.
She has no health issues. I have not been able to get her potty trained other than on a pee pee pad. What do I do?
Thank you Cindy Stankus

Hi Barbara, I’m so sorry to hear your dog is biting. The best person to help you will be a positive reinforcement based behaviorist. Your local veterinarian will hopefully have details for someone in your area, but do also get in touch with the shelter for advice if you haven’t already. Best wishes!

A wonderful calm dog. Spoiled rotten, sleeps in the bed with me. Sneezes when playing. Watery eyes at times. I keep her cut short. She licks her paws a lot if her hair gets long around her paws. Did well with obedience training. Likes green beans, can pumpkin, cooked carrots. Very loving with kids. Gets excited when visiting family until she loves on everyone then is calm. She looks at TV with me, looks at me when I talk to her. Best decision I ever made getting her. GREAT loving dog.

Is this behavior normal???

My sassysue is very healthy. At one time she was a little over weight so I give her green beans one day and the next day I give her the dog food. I got this from my vet and it works. She loves her green beans.
