No idea if you ever got a dog/pet for your son and yourself, but ouch! It’s just easy to lash out online.

I remember being a single mother with a young daughter who LOVED her dogs and having to go back to work full time away from home…for ANYONE in this situation, here are a few suggestions…if they work, great! If not…No worries:

Doggy day care, this is not a cost effective option, but it’s an easy fix…splendidly, consider two or the other dodgy parents with opposite schedules who you could trade time with.

Dog sitter: there are always ppl willing to come spend an hour or two during the day to play with your fur baby and walk and check on them…

Joint custody: this is a creative situation allowing you/your child and perhaps a senior citizen (??) to provide loving homes to a fur baby where you could care for the animal evenings and weekends and the other person could do daytime…it’s win win for everyone…especially the animal getting tons of love ❤️

Loving and loyal but picks one person in my family (me) and stays by my side constantly. Loves the cat and acts as a big brother. Changed my whole view about dogs and pets in general. They do think they are a human which gives them a huge personality.

Hi, I’m interested in a Maltipoo or Maltese puppy. I live in Spring just north of Houston. Do you breed puppies?

Do you have any suggestions for reputable breeders, preferably in the Southeast (we’re in Florida) but flexible? Thanks!

You will do a huge favor to your pet if you neuter him and this is why:

“Neutering can cut the risk of certain diseases, unwanted behaviors, and conflicts with other dogs. The surgery is even simpler than a spay. A veterinarian puts the dog under anesthesia, makes an incision in front of the scrotum, cuts the stalks of the testicles, and then removes the testicles through the incision.” Talk to your dog’s vet.

I have a maltipoo named Milo who recently passed away. He was 8 years old. About 4 months ago, we noticed him coughing intermittently so we brought him to a vet and they diagnosed him with collapsing trachea, murmur and enlarged heart. He was sent home with an opiate (hydrocodone)cough syrup to calm him down which helped minimally. I also tried throat gold and CBD oil which I thought helped better… In a month I insisted to be referred to the specialists to see what options there were. We saw a surgeon over a month ago who did not believe surgery was necessary and that there was no guarantee he would be symptom-free with a stent placement. Despite his condition, he still loved his daily morning walks. I used to bring him hiking on the mountains but due to his shortness of breath I would bring him but carry him back home and he was so happy. And now I question myself if he had a stent, would he be still alive? But as I was reading your comment, it seems like surgery does not guarantee an ultimate treatment to collapsed trachea. I have another maltipoo and hopefully she will stay healthy. Hoping for the best for your Maltese. I know how hard and very sad to see our kiddogs suffer like this.
