In reply to Sandie Stevens. Mine was suffering from terrible itching and loss of fur. Someone at the pet store said chicken was number 1 allergen. At the humane society they feed them what they have and seems 90% of dog food has chicken. Once his diet changed, His skin cleared immediately and his fur grew in as well. I have to give him ⅓ of a Benadryl (he’s 8lbs) if he gets chicken by a well-meaning person.

PRoudRescuersof PuertoRico always have plenty of great chi mixes. I have two chi/terrier mixes – one with a little wirehaired terrier coat and the other short-haired. Great dogs – good health, teeth and very sweet and sociable, very playful even the 5 1/2 year old. I highly recommend them. On Facebook and have a site.

In reply to Sandie Stevens. Very kind and encouraging words. I lostmy little Lhasa Aoso 5 months ago...I still well up talking about her, I miss her so much. Today I am going to pick up a little chi terrier mix we named " Pico" short for pico de gallo. He was born in Texas. His mom was thrown on the streets and saved by a wonderful woman. Life goes on, as my Bailee would want.

I call my pup a chixy – she is a mini foxy x chihuahua and she is a spicy vivacious little tamale. I also call her parcour puppy and iggle piggle wiggle but her name is Kiki D (as in don’t go breaking my heart). She is pure joy and can get even the most dignified dog to go full puppy and play. She is beyond sociable and brings a huge dose of love to all – especially little little kids.
