You made a good point that I should also take into consideration my own line of work before adopting a pet. Maybe it would be best to have some consultations with a pet adoption organization in order to properly assess my lifestyle. That way, I can find out what kind of dog would be perfect for me to take care of.

I am looking to adopt a boxer as my girlfriend struggle with day to day with out me been there as I work a way from home and I thought it wood be nice to get her a dog to be around her as my mum had a staffie and my partner is more out side with the dog

Like many people hoping to adopt s puppy I am discouraged that so few are available. We have so much love to give and we are retired and semiretired. I am applying to every rescue group I can find but expect to jump thru many hoops and wait a long time. It makes me consider buying a pup but that is against my principles. Any encouragement? NH
