I sent my puppy Vinny away to be trained. Today is day two and I am having second thoughts. My wife says I am being ridiculous, and he will be a better dog for it. The facility seems ok, and the owner was a marine and trained dogs in the military. My puppy has to be away 4 weeks and we get to go two times a week to train with him. They are also going to send pictures of his ridiculous. Do you think I am being ridiculous? IS there any advice you can give me. This morning i wanted to just go pick him up but I am trying to be rational.

It’s nice that you talked about how it takes quite a long time to train a dog thoroughly. Our pet dog likes to misbehave, so I think he needs to be trained now. I heard there are dog boarding training services now, so maybe we should ask for it for our pet dog.

I have sent mine and fixing to send my 5 month old to same trainers they are very good and had wonderful outcome from it mine also have anxiety and my 5 month old is scared of everything until she gets use to you she will not come near and hides it sad really she was the last of the littler and hid under her dad and stuck to him like glue is is now use to us but taking her anywhere other than a walk she is nervous

I recently bought a husky and need help I started puppy classes today but am overwhelmed my dog gets excited on walk when meeting other dogs I’m afraid I won’t be Abel to stop this now people are already avoiding me when they see me coming and I can’t sleep because I want to help my dog and myself

Hi!

My situation is so similar! Took puppy, got well with house training and basic obedience, but on walks puppy seems to be thinking it’s walking alone, lounging, jumping and barking and I think it’s getting more and more scared of walks. Tried redirection and desensitizing but I think I am too frustrated and resigned now to conquer this myself. Puppy is going for residential training in days now and I’m really worried if it was a good idea. I know it’s been years since you posted but would love to hear how it worked for you!
